(Case size chart)
Bit of a mystery this one, a very attractive WWII era gents sports watch in exceptional condition. Fixed lug stainless steel case gives it a very military look with large diameter crown. The case back is screwed with a milled edge just like Rolex Oyster, stamped A284. The dial is silver with a lovely mirrored perimeter track with minute graduations., signed 'Waterproof'. The crystal has been profile in two aspects having a flatter top to the centre. Opening the case gives no further clues, except a dust cover which reveals a quality Swiss 15J manual wind movement but no makers marks, running superbly and keeping excellent time. It's a beautiful watch, very unusual, most likely made for the civilian market by a low volume maker capturing the style of military watches of this era.
