Omega 18K Gold Bumper Automatic c.1952. Solid 18K gold case not signed Omega indicating this to be a watch assembled inside the country of retail with Omega movements and dials sourced from the Omega factory in Switzerland. The practice was common in the 1950s in order to beat the high import tariffs on foreign goods particularly those made of solid gold. The case is in excellent condition stamped 18K 0.750 to the rear. The original dial has just been refinished by our restorer in stunning matt black and it therefore pristine and unmarked. The acrylic crystal is polished and unblemished. The movement is a calibre 351 bumper automatic, with 13,1**,*** serial dating the watch to 1952. It has been fully serviced and time checked by ourselves. Presented on a generic Omega type 19mm black leather strap with plain gold plated buckle. Stunning watch
'Very good price price for an 18K Omega with the desirable bumper auto movement. .'
