Vintage Elgin Gents Watch with 'Wadsworth' manufactured oblong watch case in 10 carat rolled gold plate in excellent order just minor wear to the ends of the lugs. The case has a ridged bezel and curved lugs and is one of the larger size of the Elgins. The stainless steel caseback is signed 'Elgin' and is marked with the serial number 6518. The case measures 37mm lug to lug and 23mm across not including the winding crown. The dial is champagne in colour, satin finish which is in mint condition having been restored to look as new. The hours are denoted by raised Arabic numerals and there is a recessed square sub seconds dial at 6 o'clock and an outer minute dial. The beautiful long 'baton' hands are in perfect condition. The dial displays the Elgin signature and insignia. New domed glass is clean and clear. The movement is a 17 jewelled, calibre 673, signed Elgin Watch Co USA. It also carries the serial number S783771 confirming the precise date of this timepiece as 1951. This has been fully detailed and serviced and keeps time and winds and sets smoothly.
