The Lord Elgins were the top of the range watches made by Elgin and this is a lovely example with a twin aspect faceted crystal. It has been fully serviced involving completely stripping down the parts, cleaning them, reassembling, oiling and regulating the timing. This watch has a near mint silver dial with raised gold numbers to mark the hours signed Lord Elgin and the Elgin logo. It has been professionally restored to look as good as new. The movement is manual wind 21 Jewel cal 670. It is running smoothly and keeping excellent time. The case measures 23mm across without crown and 37mm including the lugs. It is in super condition with no dings, dents or noteworthy scratches, it looks almost new. Inside the back cover is written 4517 Star Case Watch Co, 1001399 also Cased and timed by Elgin National Watch Co, 14k Gold Filled. The faceted crystal is clean and clear. The shape matches the shape of the watch case.

On the movement is written the serial number S637993, Elgin 670, USA, 21 Jewels, Adjusted. It is in supreme sparkling condition having just been serviced. It is running well and keeping excellent time. On the outside of the back cover is written 14k Gold Filled. It comes with a new Italian Leather black strap which sets it off beautifully. It will be despatched in a presentation box.
