A very rare Elgin Dante Automatic watch dating 1954 unusually with it's original inner and outer boxes. The square Elgin signed stainless steel case with screw back is in excellent shape for its age with only light scratches and signs of wear. The black Elgin signed round dial has some crazing to the gloss black finish but is original and in generally good shape. The hands show some light corrosion. It has a rare cal.645 17 jewel Automatic Elgin signed movement that has just been serviced and runs well keeping very good time. Presented on a black genuine leather strap. Comes complete with Elgin inner box and cardboard Elgin outer box. Watch measures 28mm x 28mm.
