DESCRIPTION:
A rare early 50's Tissot Automatic Gents watch with desirable Bumper movement. This was Tissot's answer to the Omega Seamaster cal. 344 of the same period. The case is almost identical as is the styling of the dial. The case is in excellent condition with just light wear, left completely unrestored and original, as is the Tissot signed crown, and plain stainless heavy screw back. The dial is also original in excellent condition with the lightest even mottling, consistent with age. Tissot signed 17 jewel automatic bumper movement that has just been completely overhauled (New mainspring and complete strip down/ serviced and retimed 15/5/2009)at great expense by David Hughes of Back in Time. Measures 34mm in diameter and is presented on a period stainless 'Fixoflex' type bracelet.
